THE TRUTH IS OUT ABOUT CSPI

Many years ago, the Truth in Labeling Campaign approached the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), led by its director, Michael Jacobson, to ask for their help and support in making people aware of the toxicity of MSG and to require full disclosure of MSG on food labels.

To our face, over the years, Jacobson has applauded full disclosure, while behind our backs, he has sabotaged our efforts.  For the December 8-9 weekend edition of The Wall Street Journal, Michael Jacobson, when asked, as executive director of a Washington “food safety advocacy group,” to comment, is quoted as saying only “I don't see normal amounts of MSG as posing a risk to the vast majority of people.”  Why would Jacobson say nothing about the possible hazards of processed free glutamic acid (MSG)?  Click here to read more.
